FAMILIES

In cooperation with Fotostiftung Schweiz, Fotomuseum Winterthur organises a variety of activities for families. With its alternating programme, the children’s workshop Sunday Early Bird introduces children aged 5 to 12 to the world of photography while their parents can participate in a guided tour through one of the exhibitions either at Fotomuseum Winterthur or Fotostiftung Schweiz. Special days like the Pinhole Camera Day or the International Museum Day offer a diversified programme of workshops and informative tours for young and old – ideal for a family visit.

Family workshop: Photogram – Creating with Light

Photograms are pictures that are taken in the darkroom without a camera. As you experiment with different materials and creative ideas, you will create a wide range of interesting compositions.  Light reflections, shadow plays, razor-sharp silhouettes and superimpositions – the sole requirements are light, photographic paper and fluids. This workshop requires a minimum of five registered participants and is limited to a maximum of twelve people, based on the space available in the photo lab. The workshop is held in German.
